I love watching the older movies a lot more than the present day movies and Julia Adams was obviously a very good actor and one of my favourites, loved her in the Creature from the Black Lagoon and more recently in Murder, She Wrote among others I’ve found on YouTube etc

Love all the work of Julie. The Private War of Major Benjamin is my favorite.

My wife and I just made a trip to Orlando and stopped by Wakula Springs to see the Manatees. Had no idea that The Creature From The Black lagoon was filmed there. so naturally I had to research everything about the film which led me here. I am so glad I did. Thank you so much for preserving Mrs. Adams heritage.

I purchased Julie's book from a movie company site with the email reedii@aol.com and did not get the book or refund. Does anyone know of this site or can help me. Thank you.

Just watched “Creature from the Black Lagoon” again after about 20 years. I am having my adult children watch 1930’s to 1950’s movies for Halloween week. Too much fun! They are loving it!!

Julie Adams was so lovely; I used to watch her on “Murder She Wrote”.

I had a major crush on Julie since I was 9 years old. I always believed she was on of the most beautiful and classy women on the planet. I had her book with CD signed. After reading the book, everything I ever thought about her was shown to be true. May you rest in peace, Julie.

I knew her by Capitol. I'm still re-viewing all that serie with pleasure, but my favourite actress was her, with her beauty, class and charme. I also saw pics of her since she was young: a very special beauty.

I am a sixty-three year old who is remembering the career of Julie Adams. I was reminded of her while watching my copy of the 1973 movie ‘Go Ask Alice’ where she plays the part of Alice’s mother. I was fifteen when the made for TV movie was broadcast for the first time. The movie is still relevant today.

Miss Adams, I just want your family and you to know that I watched your career over the years. You always made your character come to life and believable. May you RIP Eternally and please know Miss Adams, you are missed. God Bless dear lady..

This acknowledgement of Julie Adams acting career is waaaay late. I have enjoyed her performances over the years and was so glad to find her book "The Lucky Southern Star" which happened to be signed with a newspaper photo of her and son Mitch Danton.

I did not discover Julie (her book put us on a first name basis) until I saw her in Murder, She Wrote. Her performances there got me interested in what else she'd done and wow! was I impressed. Finding her book allowed me to put her career together a bit better and to find other movies she was in. Only then did I realize I'd been seeing her all my life in one show and another!

Thank you, Julie, for these last 20+ years of entertainment and this book of life stories. And thank you,Mitch Danton, for being who you are and helping your mom get this book written. It is, as is your mom, a gift. I'm sorry I completely missed writing this before she passed.I wish you, Mitch -- and your family -- the best.

This is something of a long shot, but it's my understanding that Ms. Adams, after her marriage to Ray Danton, had a longterm relationship with screenwriter Ronald Cohen. I'm working on the biography of another screenwriter, Ernest Lehman, who defeated Mr. Cohen for the presidency of the Writers Guild of America West in 1983. Is there anything in her book or in family memories or documents pertaining to that campaign and Mr. Lehman's role in it?

I grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas where Julie lived for a while. She always was my favorite female actor from the fifty’s and sixties. So proud to tell people she was from my hometown. I only wish I could have met her.
I am currently watching “The Creature From The Black Lagoon” and that prompted me to go to her website. I love watching her in Andy Griffith, Bonanza and all the other shows she was in. There never will be another Julie Adams. RIP Julie Adams.
