Just want to wish you and your family Happy Holidays and to thank you and your son once more for visiting us at Heritage Hill Historical Park in Lake Forest, CA.

I also want to mention that at some point I will be sending you a review of your book. Alas, soon after your visit I was crazy enough to lend it to a friend, and he's still reading it! For the time being, then, I'll simply say that anyone who orders your book is in for a treat. It's a "star read" without malice--forthright and honest, but refusing to get bogged down in scandal and other silliness. Instead The Lucky Southern Star presents us with the story of a young woman who persevered, played the cards dealt her . . . and ultimately triumphed in both her career and her personal life!
