I have just watched Creature of the Black Lagoon for the first time yesterday. What a classic film. And I was mesmerized by Julie, quite taken with her timeless beauty, charm and elegance. She would be beautiful in any era. Now I want to see what other films I can find and watch her perform again.

I was only 10 years old when I saw “The Creature” movie and immediately began my first crush. What a beautiful lady – and one that I’ve never forgotten. I told my children about experiencing the pure fright of seeing such a classic woman swim with the creature right underneath her. My youngest son decided to buy me the DVD and I fell in love with you all over again. Guess I’ll be a fan forever.

Just wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear about Ben Chapman. I remember as a 15 year old the wonderful Creature From the Black Lagoon movie and then shortly thereafter seeing the boat "Vagabondia" docked at a marina in Miami. What a thrill.

I recently read of Ben Chapman's death in Hawaii. The article said he played the creature above the water scenes in "Creature." I saw the film while in USAF basic training at Lackland AFB in 1954. I recall how scary it was and how thankful the base theater had air conditioning in August! This afternoon I watched the special edition of the film via Netflix. The special features section was well done and thats where I learned more about you. Via the internet I've learned you've had a successful career and a full life. In closing, thanks for bringing a whole theater of young airman a brief respite
from what we were experiencing at the time in a very hot Texas.
