Had the pleasure of seeing you again on a repeat of Bonanza. You played an incurable gambler and you also played poor "Hoss" pretty good too. But with your beauty, I would have fallen too.

Hello from a career Fire medic, and ex Combat Medic. I have watched you all my life and enjoyed you from Andy Griffith to the Black Lagoon. Just finished watching Man from the Alamo and thought I'd send you a note. There are none like you these days, God Bless You for the enjoyment you have brought me. You are truly a classic beauty.

Once again, Ms. Adams, thank you so much for visiting Heritage Hill on the eve of your birthday!
Since this may be read by others, I'd like to testify that not only is Ms. Adams a thoroughly delightful and gracious person who very kindly took the time to sign photos, answer questions, and converse with her many fans, but that whatever our age, we should all look as terrific as she does!
Again, Ms. Adams, we greatly appreciate your visit and hope that you and your family enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration on the 18th.

I have always felt writting to someone in the entertainment industry was a bit intrusive but I recently was going through some of my movies and came across some of yours. I had to write and express my sincere appreciation to you for the many wonderful hours I spent growing up wathcing your films and the pleasure I got from that. They represent a simpler time and in many ways a better time when the actor was really engaged in their craft and not circumvented by computer graphics. I remember one film, "Mississippi Gambler", and always felt the end was disappointing in that Tyrone Power ended up with Piper Laurie and not you. Anyway, I do thank you so much for your exceptional talent and your extrodinary beauty and I do remember you beyond the Creature film. I am and remain a big fan.
Sincereely,
Tim Matchette

Julie,
Greetings from beautiful Waterloo, Iowa where today Oct. 10 is a balmy 75 degrees. Ah, don't you wish you were here? But, seriously it was great to find your website with such good photos and info. Everytime I see you on tv I shout out " hey, that woman is from Waterloo!". For some reason I am the only one that seems to care. Well, no one appreciates good acting anymore. Take care, your hometown fan Dennis

Miss Adams,
I am doing a book on Universal's portrait photographer Ray Jones with his son, John. If you have a moment I would love to include your memories of portrait sessions with Jones to be included in the book. If you are interested, I would communicate any way you wish - e-mail, telephone, etc. We have two portraits of you from your Universal days we plan to include in the book and it would be great to put your memories with them. Thanks for your consideration.

Saw your photo with ancestors at the recent Beckett Family Reunion, in Bruce, Mississippi. I understand you have Beckett folks in your family history. Maybe LeRoy Beckett contacted you some years ago and discussed the Beckett connection with you?
My mom was Earline M. Beckett, granddaughter of Walter W. & Louise M. Beckett. From the Beckett side of her family, my mom has 72 First Cousins and all lived to marry and have children.
Some of the same Beckett Family members reside in Arkansas.

Hi Julie: I stumbled upon your website when following a link from another site that happened to mention your name. I wonder if you read these entries? Anyway, you and my mom are 2nd cousins, granddaughers of brothers Bob and Ross. She met you once when you were "home" visiting and gathering family information.
I was amused to see that in a show you were in, you used your grandmother's name for your character. I got into genealogy many years later and wondered how much you learned of that particular family name. A distant cousin of ours has done MUCH research on the family during the Civil War era if you're ever interested. A governor is in the tree, no less.....your Grandfather Bob's and Ross's double-second cousin.
Glad to see you're still acting!
Kindest regards,
Tracey

I have just watched Creature of the Black Lagoon for the first time yesterday. What a classic film. And I was mesmerized by Julie, quite taken with her timeless beauty, charm and elegance. She would be beautiful in any era. Now I want to see what other films I can find and watch her perform again.
Thank you Julie!

You've had a great career and it is nice to see an actress who stays with her fans as you have done over the years. Best of luck to you and don't stop making movies.
