In 1952 when I was eight I had just finished surgery and was in a lot of pain. Because I did not cry I was permitted to see a movie of my choice. I selected Bend of the River which you made with Mr. James Stewart. So for two hours you and he enabled me to forget the pain I was in. I am so happy to finally be able to thank you. By the way the first movie that I purchased for my video and DVD collection was Bend of the River. Many thanks for your other movies and TV roles over the years.

Hi Julie! I've been a fan of yours since I was a little girl and I saw you in The Creature From the Black Lagoon. I write to Ben and he's convinced me to send him a copy of my synopsis for a sequel for Creature. I know that they're making one sequel, but I've written a pretty good one, and Ben is waiting to read it. He's asked me to send two copies so he can give one to you. Hope you'll enjoy reading it. I was supposed to send it a while back, but while I was polishing, I found a whole in the story that I wanted to address. I think you're an amazing actress and I'm glad for your subsequent success. Best Retards, Andrea

Dear Mrs. Adams
Once upon atime there was a young guy, who visits every sunday afternonn the movie round the corner. And one sunday they played the Bud Boetticher film called "Horizons west". And in this film I saw the prettiest woman I ever seen. And from this time on I dreamed of JULIA ADAMS, a lovely face. I've seen all films of you, that they played here in Germany, also many TV-Series too. Now today I'm an old guy - but the hours in the cinema with you are unforgetable. Thank you and may God bless you. Greetings to your sons Yours sincerely Bernd from Bavaria |

What a great movie. You have been a major contributer to the film/TV and the entertainment industry as a great talent. A real fan. |

Miss Adams, I do not know if you remember a very young fan you met at a Motel in Santa Barbara a few years after the filming of The Creature. I know she droaned on forever and followed you like a puppy dog. But I will tell you how much I appreciated your treatment of me, and I have never forgotten you or that chance meeting. Thank you for the kindness in your soul! You are one wonderful lady.

It's sweet and touching that the two of you periodically attend conventions and Repertory cinemas to discuss your work. Thank you and God Bless.

Hi Julie, my wife and I are big fans of yours. You were great in "The Creature." I bet you had fun filming that. I plan to rent some of your western movies to view. Wow, you got to work with my other favorite actor, Jimmy Stewart, as well as Elvis and more-good for you!

Hi Julie...
I happened to catch up with Ben Chapman here in Toronto on Sept. 2 after corrresponding with him for some years, and needless to say he still speaks very highly of you - what a sweet guy he is. The picture that you signed for me in 2003 (and that Ben has signed as well) will always have an honoured place in my collection. Will look forward to meetng you someday as well. Dear Miss Adams: I am the son of Eve Mick. You and her, according, to my mother's account, walked to school together in Blytheville, Arkansas. I remember she wrote you a letter back in the '50's and you sent us an autographed photo. She is in a rest home at this time in Kennitt, Mo. about 44 miles from the 'old home town'. She'd been through 5 husbands in her life-time and now abides alone. She is 81, I think Just thought I'd drop you a line and wish you well on her behalf. I tried to send a photo of her, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Maybe I'll try again later. May God keep you and reveal his love to you. Mr. Devon Leesley

It was nice to see you at the 3D Expo. Unfortunately, the moderator did not seem to be prepared with questions for you. I wish he had asked you about your entire career and bio. and not limit his (few) questions to the Creature movie. You saved the day by your graciousness and vibrant personality. For some reason I never connected the beautiful young starlet in the Creature film and the beautiful woman who appeared in so many TV programs over the years. You are still recognizable today, and still quite beautiful, which is more than I can say for many of the maturing stars I have seen over the years. I took my 28 year old son, who had never seen the film, to the EXPO and he really enjoyed it. Best wishes and thanks for attending the EXPO. MIKE

Dear Julie,
I happened upon this sight while reasearching wakulla springs for a vacation. I would like to say that I really enjoy the creature series. My father and I both collect the universal and most other classic sci-fi and monster movies. I must say that you are a beautiful leading lady. I look forward to your appearance in the tv show lost. I would like to request a favor, could you possibly organize a reunion here in atlanta? That would be great! |

Dear Ms. Adams,
Last night my wife and I watched Creature from the Black Lagoon again. I think this was about the 50th time I had watched it. I wanted to tell you that as a young boy of 12 in 1954, when I saw it for the first time, I was in love! You were my first crush! Thank you for many years of entertainment. Along with Creature, I think my other favorite is Bend in the River. Julie Adams and Jimmy Stewart -- it doesn't get any better than that. I hope that you are well, and thanks again. Sicerely, Arnie Steffensen |

I received the photo I ordered a few days ago. Very nice! Thanks for the website and for your willingness to autograph photos for fans at a reasonable price. I've enjoyed your work over the years, notably (of course) the Creature. I dug out my vhs copy after getting your photo and watched it again for the first time in quite a while. Great fun. Best wishes for continued success.
Best regards, Dave Fifer |

Hello Ms.Adams,
I had the chance to meet you at the Chiller in East Rutherford, NJ a couple of years ago. It was such a pleasure to chat with you. I am a hugh fan of the classic films and your work in them as well as your work from television. I always enjoy hearing stories about the making of the films and the people you worked with. Listening to expirenced actors like yourself is always a pleasure and something to learn from. I would like to write screen plays one day. So trying to get as much knowledge and insite is great and enjoyable. You are a class act and really nice person. Thank you
