She was a very talented lady with a beautiful smile who shared that smile with the rest of the world. I was surprised to see how much she looked like my aunt who was some 20 years younger but also from that area of Arkansas-Tennessee - same last name. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to the family of Julie Adams. I am saddened by the news of her passing and I feel like I have lost a neighbor(she did own 40 acres of land in Newton County, near where I live. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren hiking there).
Julie, a native of Arkansas, has been a favorite actress of mine ever since I first saw her in THE PRIVATE WAR OF MAJOR BENSON(1955), when I was a youngster. I realize that she will be most remembered for her memorable role in CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON(1954) and rightly so. She was very beloved by her fans and she so appreciated them. Her role in this Classic Movie has made her an icon to monster movie fans, although, I think her steadiest genre was the Western and she was so good in them. That said, I think she was good in any genre that she appeared in.
Julie Adams had much talent, beauty, determination, and graciousness. She was a true Southern Star.

I have always thought Ms. Adams to be one of most underrated actresses of television and movies. She was very beautiful and, whenever I saw her name in the credits of a movie or tv show, I would smile and know this would be better than expected. Rest in peace, Ms. Julie Adams.

She was so beautiful and such a wonderful actress. I am so very sad to learn of her passing. She was the best.

Julie was a wonderful person. I have many fond memories of spending time with her, and my cousin Susan, at their Wrightwood cabin. Lots of good conversations and times spent playing Phantom with the kids.

I am very sorry to hear of Julie's passing. She was a lovely lady and I am very happy I got to meet her at one of her book signings in late 2013 in Hollywood at Larry Edmund's bookshop. I will cherish her book and a few of her movies that I do own. She lived a long life and seemed to love what she was doing. RIP Julie! We will miss you!!

Hello,i want to extend my condolences to Julie Adams'family. She will always be one of my favorite actresses. A picture of her and the gillman,in a school library book,started my love for her and The Creature From The Black Lagoon. A few years ago i purchased her autobiography and had it autographed. It is a very good read. I recommend it to her fans. Now she's reunited with the gillman,Ben Chapman in heaven. RIP Julie Adams

Julie was my first love as a child after seeing a theater poster for the Creature. I've seen many of her films and am always surprised to recognize her in various TV shows. Always a pleasure!

I really enjoyed Julie in the Andy Griffith Show. She played the part of in being the Nurse really well.

Rest In Peace. I remember the lagoon movie well. Never knew you were from Waterloo, my current home town, next to Cedar Falls, my original one. We used to watch Creature Feature in the 70’s as kids, and Creature from the Black Lagoon was an all time fave.
