I have always had fond memories as a kid on Saturday mornings, finishing with breakfast, this 6 year old would sit down and watch all the late morning "monster" movies! My mother hated the nightmares but I loved the "universal classics". Having just seen the "new " wolfman, and having a son who can't watch scarry movies (hes 13!) I figured I'd introduce him to MY old favorites. Last weekend it was Lon Cheney Jr. in "the wolfman" He thought it was cool. We just finished "THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON" and he was impressed by the costume. I was pleasantly surprised to find your website and plan on sending for at least two of the 8x10's. Thank you ma'am for making the memories that now I can share with my son.
My best to you and yours,
J. Lansing

Hi Julie
I thought you were one of James Stewart's leading ladies in Bend of The River and later The Jimmy Stewart Show.
BOTR is IMHO one of the top 5 westerns of all-time and your performance helped make it so. I wish you and Jimmy had made more films and think the female lead The Man From Laramie would have been a good role for you. No disrespect to Cathy O'Donnell, but thought the role needed a stronger persona.
I enjoyed you also in The Lawless Breed with Rock Hudson. I also thought you were great as Eve in Angela Lansbury's Murder She Wrote, giving the show two glamorous actresses instead of one.

I have been a huge fan beginning with my first viewing of Creature from the Black Lagoon when I was a boy. Still love to watch that movie on my DVD copy. I wish they could still make good horror/science fiction movies without all the sex and nudity. Best wishes to Ms. Adams and continued good health. Take care - Bob

Hi Julie,
I love your website. I just wanted to say how much I have appreciated your work over the years. You have had a long and marvelous career! I was just watching the Andy Griffith Show episode "The Country Nurse". I am a huge fan of Andy Griffith and Don Knotts and that episode you are in is one of my favorites.:)
Anyways, I'm 57 and just retired after 25 years as a High School Band Director. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to tell you how much joy you have given your fans over the years with all of your great performances!
Take care! Tom Monteleone

I have been a fan of yours for many years. I especially liked you in Bend of The River and I can never forget your beautiful smile on the Andy Griffith show. But, of course, my favorite memory of you is in The Creature From The Black Lagoon. I hope you are doing well these days.

Julie, my father and I watched "Creature" in the waiting room of St. Mary's hospital awaiting the birth of my son in Kansas City, 1979. It was 2:30 -3:00 AM. As we were watching the nurse came in and said "The Smiths" are on their way. My sister was expecting at the same time. My nephew was born the following day. Needless to say my father and I saw the entire movie.

Hello Ms. Adams:
I have enjoyed all of your performances since I first saw you live and on stage at the Heileg Theater in Eugene, Oregon in 1952. I was just a young boy of 13 when you, Lori Nelson, and Rock Hudson were doing an appearence at the theater for the movie "Bend Of The River."
I know you must have found James Stewart to be easy to work with, and I often wondered how your experiences were with Randolph Scott. He like James Stewart was one of my cowboy heros.
I noticed in all of the movies that Randolph Scott appeared in, he wore a small ring on his left little finger.
I wondered if you recall that, or if it was something one would notice only if he/she worked with the person a lot.
Anyway, I wish you and your family good will, and I hope you keep on making appearences now and then.
Kind Regards,
John Schlesinger. Eugene, Oregon.

Dear Julie,
I liked how you usually played the good girl in the movies and on TV. I only saw one show where depicted a "bad girl." You were a ruthless con artist in this particular episode Riffle man.
You were cast as the love interest of the biggest names in Hollywood yet you are most recognized as a monsters crush. Strange, I think.
.
I have promoted different vintage movie events in the past. I thought it would be great for you to take a break from "creature" and show some of the westerns you were in. Or maybe another genre we generally like to stick to a theme.
So, if you think it would be fun to talk about all the great actors you kissed on the silver screen please let me know. I am sure I could arrange a screening of some of your great performances, other than creature.
Sincerely
Dino

I first saw your movie " Creature From The Black Lagoon " in Brazil about 1958 when I was 9 years old. I loved it then still do today. This movie is really a classic, and why don't you do a return of the creature follow up, like everybody else does. I bet all of us old timers would love it. Best wishes, and thanks for the entertainment over the years, regards, Alex, Chicago.
