HI, I met you in Little Rock last year and you and your son signed a copy of your book to me. Anyway, I have written a few books called Audie Murphy's Film & Television Co-Stars From A to Z, one just like it on Audrey Hepburn, and Veronica Lake, and am about to publish a two-volume set like it on Alan Ladd. I had a few forewords in my Audie Murphy book from Michael Dante, Jan Merlin, and Audie's sister Nadine. I am getting one for the Alan Ladd books this week. I am saying all this because I am about to start one on Joel McCrea and since you worked with him, I would love for you to write a foreword for it. Here is the link on Barnes and Noble to my other books, to get some idea of what I am doing.

Hello, just wanted to say how I enjoyed reading through this web site and what prompted me to do so was last evening 7/26/14 I was up late watching tv on a channel called KVOS (Me tv) out of Seattle and they were showing the classic "Creature from the Black Lagoon" so I was curious if the cast was still around (I did a google search) and I found you. It looks like you have had a great career doing what you love and you have aged quite well I have to say. Thanks!

Thank-you,Ms. Adams, for so many memorable performances. None, however, did I enjoy more than Bend of the River. I also loved your book. Like Loretta Young and Sophia Loren, your beauty is ageless.

First, I want to say both my daughter and I are great fan. She is the one who convinced me to email you regarding writing.
First, I jsut want to say that both my daughter and I watch Murder She Wrote and love when you are on it.
Christine, my daughter, kept telling me to email you regarding tips on writing a book. She thinks I'm a writing--I haven't been completely convinced--and should try to get published.
Christine wanted me to write you on pointers on key elements of writing and who to send it to. I told her I would since we both smile when watching Murder She Wrote and thinking of my mother.

Miss Adams - I'm watching The Creature from the Black Logoon at MeTV. I remember watching you in so many movies and TV shows. I'm 60 so I remember all of those great shows from that time period and now I can watch them on MeTV.
I recently read one of your quotes that went something like "no matter how good my performance is, I'm always remembered for the Creature from the Black Logoon." That maybe true, but I remember seeing you in so many great shows, Big Valley, the Rifleman, etc.
I hope you enjoy watching all your great TV shows and movies as much as I do!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Nancy

When I was born in 1956, my father wanted to name me either Edie or Julia...and Julia won out! And I am happy about that. When I was growing up, I really didn't want to be a movie star, but if I did - I thought I would use Julie - but the actress actually owns both names. PS my Dad picked Julia because she had nice teeth - and I do not haha...I do love the name though...

I have seen you in many things and did not know until today that you were born in Waterloo, Iowa. I currently live there and was raised about 25 miles away. I did a search on the internet as to famous people from Iowa and your name came up and I started to look into a little more.

I have always wondered, if you are the girl my dad talked about that had lived in hope, ar. and had left to make western movies. My mom and dad both grew up in hope and graduated from hope high school. my mother lived in the old 2 story white house, right next to the school. My mom's name was Joy Collins and dad was William Arnold. My sister and I still have the old family farm in columbus, Arkansas! Just curious!

Hi Julie,
Creature has always been one of my favorite movies. It was made around the same year I was born. I've probably seen it around 50 time in my life. Now I'm exposing my grandchildren to it so that hopefully it will be one of their favorite movies, as well.
Thank you and take care,

I just saw you in a Perry Mason episode from 1965, "fatal Fortune". I almost never (or more exactly, never) do this but I was so struck by your beauty that I just had to look up who you were. I am a little younger, so knew nothing about the "lagoon creature" and all that. I just wanted to tell you. No doubt at 87 time would have made some changes, but WOW !!!!!! In your time, WOW !!! What a lovely lovely face! Beautiful!

I love to watch the old movies and tv shows. You are a favorite and one of the best looking of all time. The girl next door innocence. Much sexier than the gals of today who think they have to wear very little. You always presented an aura of class to the way you played the part. I am getting ready to watch one of your perry mason episodes now.

What a treat this is to be able to connect with you in some small way! I am a huge fan of Murder She Wrote and you were such a bright spot among all those stars! You brought the right touch of both earnestness and sincerity to your role and I always crossed my fingers Eve Simpson would "get the guy" in the end. My favorite episode you were in was 'Benedict Arnold Slept Here' - you looked like you were having so much fun! If you are handy with a computer, I would love to hear from you sometime....if not, just know you have fans out here who really enjoyed your career and wish you well!

Hello Ms. Adams,
I have really enjoyed all of your performances in the old tv series. I watch them now on the retro tv channels. You were a great actress. One thing I would really like to know is when the characters in the show argued on screen and were enemies, was it easy for them to get out of their character and maybe go to lunch together when the scene was filmed? Thanks, Fran Manley

Hi Julie!
Hope all is well. I have an 18 acre farm 30'x40' greenhouse, barn, and orchards, woods, ponds, and lots of garden space(1-2acres), and of course paso fino horses, chickens, sheep goats, etc. Not as "wild" as mosquito lake rd but still nice!
Nice to see the website and Facebook!
Take care,

Dear Miss Adams,
Creature from the Black Lagoon has always been one of my all-time favorites, in no small part because of you. Your genuine, natural warmth and humanity really shines through the screen, and every frame that you are in just absolutely sparkles. In my humble opinion, you are by far the most beautiful, radiant woman to ever grace a sci-fi or horror film, or any film, for that matter. And you in that white bathing suit! Wow! Fast forward to 2014, and you are still beautiful. I was delighted to discover your book and your website, as I've always been a huge fan of yours. After ordering several items from there, I am overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity. Thank you very much for so many years of viewing enjoyment, and also for some really fond memories of my younger days. Take care, and God bless you.
Your Friend,
Tony
