Hi Julie!
I just finished watching Universal's new 3D blu-ray release of "Creature from the Black Lagoon" and I must say I'm not sure what impressed me more: Universal's restoration of the film or your amazing beauty! I was born in 1954 and of course Creature was released in 1954 so the film has always had a special meaning to me. Wish I had the money to attend the upcoming screening of Creature in L.A. but the 3D blu-ray will suffice quite nicely. Thanks for beeing such a beautiful part of a sci-fi classic and congratulations on living a wonderful life! I look forward to reading your book-will order now! God Bless You!

Julie, When my friends and I discuss our favorite actresses your name is always included as one of the loveliest ladies ever to appear in the movies. Perhaps, some would argue, the most beautiful. In an industry built on beauty, and peopled with so many gorgeous ladies, it would be difficult to choose just one, but if I were pressed for an answer, it would have to be you. Marilyn Monroe was known for that unique quality of sensuality mixed with innocence, so that men were torn between wanting to either protect her, or ravish her, but you had a quality that was even more rare. You were the kind of girl that men wanted to see across the breakfast table, with a ring on your finger, or the one you wanted as a friend, or perhaps a sister. You represented the best of what every man wanted in a woman, and every woman wanted in a friend. Beautiful lady. I hope that you are happy and well.

Hello Julie, I wanted to thank you for giving so much to fans like me over the years! I saw The Looters and Wings Of The Hawk recently and thought they were great! You're always fantastic in any role you play and those two movies are a perfect example! A true professional and a class act all the way. You'll always be one of my all time favorites, and I'm happy to have the chance to thank you! Best wishes, Benny Ruggieri

Hi Ms Adams. I practically fell in love with you when I first saw you in the Creature from the Black Lagoon when I was a kid. I still remember how the movie scared me to death when the "creature" took you hostage. It was one of the first dvd's I bought as an adult and it is a Haloween tradition to watch now. I also enjoy watching you on the westerns you acted in. In fact, when you caught Cheyenne's (Clint Walker) eye I was a little bit jealous, lol.
I'm sending a picture I bought just for your autograph.
Thank you for your work, you are really an incredible actress. Good luck and good health to you always.
A devoted fan

I was just watching an old episode of The Rifleman on Me TV. Of coarse you were in this one. I remember back when I first saw you in The Creature of The Black Lagoon. Man was I impressed, as I thought you were the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. But at age 12 I guess I had a huge crush. Thank you for all your work through the years, I have enjoyed watching you on screen.

I am delighted that you have created a guestbook for those of us who have appreciated your work, and your undeniable beauty, over these many years. In the end we all pass from the scene, but some such as you are classics, preserved in time and memory for eons. Your beauty lives and the essence of your soul comes through in your films, in a way denied the grand ladies of the past. Cleopatra would be envious.
As we say in another part of the forest, Live Long and Prosper!

P.S. - Your guestbook antibot test is too hard to pass. And we can't request a new one without starting over. There are easier ones. This is my third try.

Julie, I consider you one of the great beauties of our time. While growing up I can remember your movies and how beautiful I thought you were. Like most people here, "Creature" was one of my favorites of the 50s. You were one who was both beautiful and a talented actress making you someone very special.

My first time watching Creature from the Black Lagoon was on Creature Feature when I was 8 years old. To this day it is my favorite movie of all-time. I saw it in 3_D at a screening and looking forward to seeing it on Blu-Ray in 3-D in when it is released in October. Thank-you for being a part of my childhood memories. And thank-you for continuing to make yourself available for your fans.

Hello Julie,
Whenever your movies are on tv I always make a point of watching them. My children loved CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and now my grandchildren love it too. My kids used to shout "Hey, JAWS copied that scene!" which always made me laugh. You were very beautiful and a very accomplished actress and I hope you are enjoying life and in good health Julie. God bless you and your family and thanks for all those wonderful movie memories.

We had introduced our 4 yr old grand-daughter to the Creature of the Black Lagoon. She had seen and of course we purchased a little green stuffed creature doll which she takes to bed each night. She will put the movie on Roku on her own, she loves this movie very much. You now have another life long fan.

Don't know why, well yes I do, but I fell in love with Julie Adams the first time I saw her on screen. My Lord, I thought, what a beautiful woman. Maybe the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. And seeing her with Jimmy Stewart, and Rock Hudson, and Charlton Heston, in all those terrific films, it just never got any better than that. I really loved those films, and those years. The loveliest smile, and a face that belonged on a cameo, to say nothing of that white swimsuit. She did more for swimwear than Catalina ever dreamed of. Even envied "the creature" a bit, chasing her around all over the place. Clearly smitten, like all of us. Don't blame you bud. That kind of beauty is rare, even in the movies. Hope she's happy and well.

Hi Julie,
I enjoyed reading your book very much. Your career has spanned so many different phases of the entertainment industry including the studio system era, early live TV, sitcoms and crime dramas, local theater, and modern conventions. Your son’s comment in the book is correct, that most of us don’t realize how prolific your career has been. All the stories about the legendary people you’ve worked with and the rare photos are a lot of fun to go through. One thing I especially liked was that you said your best performance was in a small theater with not a very large audience; sometimes our greatest efforts are not the things that get the most attention.
